SBA San Francisco District Announces Winner of Small Business Person of the Year Award 2023

04/20/2023

For more than 50 years, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) celebrates National Small Business Week (NSBW), that recognizes the critical contributions of America’s entrepreneurs and small business owners. This year, the NSBW is co-hosted by SCORE, mentors to America's small businesses and an SBA resource partner.

As part of NSBW celebrations, we are pleased to announce that Henry's House of Coffee in San Francisco was selected the winner of our District Office Small Business Person of the Year 2023 award. This thriving coffee house opened doors in 1965 and successfully weathered the pandemic, increasing sales and number of employees in 2019-2021. In 2022, the business worked closely with the San Francisco Small Business Development Center launching an updated webpage that improved customer engagement and online sales. Henry’s House of Coffee is a multigenerational family-owned business, and we are happy to recognize them with this well-deserved award.

Acting SBA San Francisco District Director, George Flores, said: “We are thrilled to recognize Henry’s House of Coffee this year. They are one of many great small businesses here in the Bay Area. These outstanding entrepreneurs and small business owners represent the backbone of our economy.
