PUBLIC NOTICE
FAIRFIELD-SUISUN SEWER DISTRICT NOTICE INVITING SEALED BIDS FOR NITROGEN REMOVAL PHASE 1 IMPROVEMENTS, No. 9023 (“Project”) The Project consists of upgrades to Aeration Basins 1-4 including construction of new cast-in-place concrete baffle walls; concrete repairs; replacement of aeration diffusers, drop legs and air control valves; replacement of wastewater process valves; submersible mixers; construction of a new electrical building; related electrical and controls work; paving and grading; and other related work. A valid Class A California contractor’s license is required to bid on the Project. A pre-bid conference and job walk will be held at 10:00 AM on April 17, 2025 at 1010 Chadbourne Road, Fairfield, CA 94534. A second pre-bid conference will be held at 2:00 PM on May 22, 2025 at the same location. A third pre-bid conference will be held at at 10:00 AM on May 29, 2025 at the same location. Attendance at one of the three pre-bid conferences is mandatory to be qualified to bid on the project. Sealed bids must be delivered to the Fairfield-Suisun Sewer District (“District”), 1010 Chadbourne Road, Fairfield, CA 94534 on or before 2:00 PM on June 16, 2025. At that time the bids will be publicly opened and read. The project is subject to the Davis-Bacon at Related Acts (DBRA). Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) are encouraged to pursue the project. The project requires several Good Faith Efforts by bidders before the bid opening date, and utilization of the services of the Small Business Administration (SBA) and/or Minority Business Development Agency (MDBA) of the US Department of Commerce to ensure DBEs are aware of the contracting opportunity. Bids that are submitted late according to the official District time will be returned unopened. Bids that are submitted by facsimile or other electronic means will not be accepted. Bids that are incomplete or that otherwise do not conform to the requirements specified in the bid package may be deemed non-responsive. The District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or to waive any bid irregularities to the extent permitted by law. Bid packages may be obtained from the District electronically by emailing Theresa Paran at tparan@fssd.com. Include your business name, address, telephone number, fax number, and email address to receive notifications of project updates and addenda. A hard copy of the Contract Documents is on file at the above-mentioned office of the OWNER and may be reviewed at such office. If plans are obtained through a third party (e.g., contractor plan room), please send your contact information to the person named above to ensure you are added to the planholders list and receive addenda.
