PROJECT: SUNNYDALE BLOCK 9 – EARLY BUYOUT
 
The Cahill-Guzman Joint Venture team is requesting bids from the two trades below for our design effort on our Sunnydale Block 9 Project.
 
·       Design-Build Shoring System
·       Design-Build Fire Sprinkler

Project Description:
Located in the Sunnydale HOPE SF Special Use District, Block 9 will be new construction of a building, five stories of Type VA over Type 1A garage. The building will contain 95 dwelling units (1 through 4-bedroom) for low and very low-income families along with residential common spaces including a double height Lobby, Management and Resident Services Office, Shared Laundry Room, Resident Community Lounge, two Courtyards, and Secure Bicycle (100 spaces) and Vehicular Parking (71 spaces). 
 
Labor Requirements: This is a prevailing wage project. All carpenter, laborer, and operating engineer trades must be union. First Source Hiring applies.
 
Sub-Contracting Goal: 20% SBE participation goal, especially certified SF Micro and SF Small LBE firms.
 
Schedule:
02/16/24 – RFI Deadline
02/14/24 – Voluntary Virtual Job Walk
03/01/24 – Bids Due 2:00 PM
 
Tentative Construction Schedule: Begin construction in Q4 2025 / Q1 2026. Duration expected to be 21 months.
