Sub Bid Requests Port Authority of NY & NJ Gateway Development Commission – Tonnelle Avenue Overhead Bridge and Utility Relocations Contract # GDC23-002 George Harms Construction Co., Inc. is preparing a bid proposal for the above referenced project. Locations: North Bergen, Hudson County, NJ Quotes from DBE vendors, suppliers and Subcontractors are being sought. This contract includes the staged construction of a new highway bridge to carry U.S. Routes 1 and 9, also known as Tonnelle Avenue, over the alignment of the Hudson River Tunnel Project in the Township of North Bergen. Also included are civil and utility work required for the construction of the new highway bridge and parallel utility carrier bridge; and associated earthwork and site restoration. The work also includes removal of existing concrete box girders that were intended for use for the highway bridge that was to have been constructed at this site as part of the Access to the Region’s Core (ARC) project. The contract duration is 826 calendar days.
