C26031F – US 101 Express Lanes, Phase 5 Owner: Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) Location: San Jose, CA to Mountain View, CA Engineers’ Estimate: $165,000,000 BID DATE: November 12, 2026 @ 2:00 PM Items of work include but are not limited to: Crack Monitoring/Vibration Monitoring, Staking/Survey, Lead Compliance Plan, Signs, Traffic Control/Traffic Control Devices, Striping & Markings, SWPPP/Inspection/Reporting, Erosion Control-Temporary & Permanent, Tack Coat/Prime Coat/Geosynthetic Pavement Interlayer, Asphalt Dike, Cold Plane/Smoothness (Diamond) Grinding/ Inertial Profiler, Rapid Set Concrete Replacement/ Spall Repair/Deck Grinding, Soil Nails, Fractured Fin Formliner, CIDH, Reinforcing Steel (Rebar), Shotcrete, Sign Structures, Underground-Storm/ Sewer/Water, Minor Concrete, Electrical, Painting, Fencing, MGS/AITS/TBB/Veg. Control/Cable Railing, Concrete Barrier, Rumble Strip, Trucking, ADL Trucking & Disposal, Quality Control. **PLEASE NOTE – This project will span nearly 4 seasons beginning in Spring 2027 through Winter 2030. Please be sure to include all necessary taxes and escalators in your pricing based upon when your work will be performed. Please see the Stage Construction & Traffic Handling Plans for sequence of work to assist with proper application of taxes and escalators, or contact us to discuss. By submitting a quote, your firm acknowledges this construction timeframe and has included all necessary taxes and escalators for the entire duration stated above, regardless of language within your quote stating otherwise.*** ***PLEASE NOTE – All DBE subcontractors used on this project are required to be certified through the CUCP DBE Database. DBE Search: https://caltrans.dbesystem.com Granite Rock Company 'Graniterock' is signatory to Operating Engineers, Laborers, Teamsters, Carpenters and Cement Masons unions. 100% performance and payment bonds will be required from a qualified surety company for the full amount of the subcontract price. Bonding assistance is available. Graniterock will pay bond premium up to 1.5%. In addition to bonding assistance, subcontractors are encouraged to contact Graniterock Estimating with questions regarding obtaining lines of credit, insurance, equipment, materials and/or supplies, or with any questions you may have. Subcontractors must possess a current contractor's license, DIR number, insurance and worker's compensation coverage. Subcontractors will be required to enter into our standard contract. Graniterock intends to work cooperatively with all qualified firms seeking work on this project.
