Approx. 5,216 LF new sewer pipe; groundwater dewatering and discharge; bypass pumping; landscaping; hazardous material handling; laterals and reconnections; trenchless work; traffic control; repaving; signal-loop replacement; and curb ramps. Water-main relocation: approx. 5,886 LF of 6", 8", 12", and 16" AC main replacement including hydrants, valves, water services, resurfacing, traffic control, and striping.
Trade partners requested: Jobs Coordinator, Archaeological and Native American Monitoring, Paleontological Monitoring, Landscaping/Irrigation, SWPPP, Survey, Aggregates, Traffic Control, Bypass Pumping, Jack & Bore, Micro Tunneling, Dewatering, Haz Material, Paving, Striping, Precast Concrete, Manholes, Sitework/Flatwork, Pipe, Valves, and Traffic Loops.
  Bid documents are available through Building Connected after signing an NDA; contact the estimator for access, insurance requirements, and the McCarthy subcontract agreement. This is an EPA Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF)-assisted project subject to 40 CFR Part 33. DBE firms must be certified at bid opening through an accepted DBE program and provide proof. Certified DBE participation is strongly encouraged.
  Covered by the City of San Diego Citywide Project Labor Agreement (Letter of Assent required). State and federal prevailing wages apply; DIR registration required.
  ·       Licensed Contractor: Bidder must hold the applicable California license classification(s) for its trade.
·       Prequalification: Firms must be prequalified by McCarthy: https://prequalification.mccarthy.com
·       Subcontract: Successful bidders execute the McCarthy Standard Subcontract Agreement (copies on request).
·       Bid Bond: McCarthy may request bid bonds for proposals greater than $500,000.
·       Performance/Payment Bond: 100% of subcontract value required for contracts over $100,000 (admitted CA surety, A.M. Best A- or better); McCarthy CDI program available in lieu of bonds, subject to preapproval.
·       Insurance/Safety: Maintain insurance per the Contract Documents and McCarthy Subcontract; comply with the McCarthy Safety Program.
·       McCarthy will assist qualified firms with bonding, insurance, lines of credit, equipment, materials, supplies, and scope breakdowns as needed.
·       McCarthy is signatory to union agreements with the Carpenters, Operators, Laborers, and Cement Masons. Subcontractors will comply with such labor agreements for all of Subcontractor’s Work falling within the jurisdiction of such labor agreements. Subcontractor agrees to require its subcontractors and their subcontractors, if any, to be bound in a like manner.
