County Launches One-Stop Virtual Disaster Help Center for Businesses and Workers 

In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, the County of Los Angeles launched a new Worker and Business Disaster Help Center, a centralized call center and website providing free, one-on-one counseling and support for business owners and workers who have been adversely affected by the ongoing Novel Coronavirus emergency.

The one-stop virtual center is jointly operated by the Departments of Workforce Development, Aging and Community Services (WDACS) and Consumer and Business Affairs (DCBA) with the support of our County and State partners.

In alignment with the County's "Safer at Home" order in response to the COVID-19 outbreak, our America's Job Centers of California will no longer accommodate walk-in clients and are launching expanded virtual services. You can access all services via workforce.lacounty.gov

Residential and Commercial Eviction Protection

On March 19, 2020, Supervisor Kathryn Barger, Chair of the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, signed an Executive Order moratorium on residential and commercial evictions in County unincorporated areas.

The moratorium covers tenants and businesses retroactively from March 4, 2020 to May 31, 2020. For view the complete proclamation, click here.

LA County Issues Safer At Home Order 

Los Angeles County has issued a Safer At Home order on March 19th and revised the Health Officer order on March 21st mandating the closure of non-essential businesses and prohibiting all private/public gatherings.
