S.J. Amoroso Construction Co., Inc. is bidding the above referenced project. We are actively pursuing compliance with the SB,SDB, WOSB, SDVOSB and VOSB business goals and would appreciate your bid on this project.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The CBOC is to be located on an approximately 52-acre site in French Camp, CA, which is, located just south of Stockton near the San Joaquin General Hospital (500 West Hospital Road, French Camp, CA). Amoroso is committed to meeting our small business plan goals which are 23% SB, 10% SDB, 5% WOSB, 3% SDVOSB and 3% VOSB. All subcontractors shall comply with the small business requirements as described in the documents.
The project is to construct a 158,000 SF Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) and 3,300 SF Central Utility Plant (CUP), San Joaquin County, Stockton, CA. The CBOC will include Primary and Specialty Clinics, Diagnostic and Rehabilitation, and Support Services. Requirements for the CBOC include construction of the CBOC and CUP facility infrastructure as well as site development work for the Stockton Campus including: both on-site utilities and connecting to off-site utilities, constructing roads, sidewalks, parking; site raise for flood plain mitigation, and landscaping. The project is part of an overall phased campus construction project over multiple years. Portions of the Stockton Campus not included in this project but impact the CUP portion of this project and are to be fully integrated into the Stockton Campus are: (1) a Community Living Center (CLC) for a bed Nursing Home Care Unit (NHCU) and (2) Engineering & Logistics Building.
Required trades are: Earthwork, underground utilities, clearing & grubbing, minor site demolition, asphalt paving, site concrete, unit masonry, structural steel, metal decking, metal fabrications, metal stairs, finish carpentry, casework, pavement markings, fences and gates, planting and irrigation, concrete reinforcement, cast-in-place concrete, polished concrete, waterproofing, insulation, metal wall panels, metal rain screen, metal roofing, membrane roofing, sheet metal flashing, expansion joint covers, applied fireproofing, joint sealants, doors, frames, hardware, coiling doors, operable walls, louvers, glass and glazing, metal stud framing, gypsum board, tiling, acoustical ceilings, flooring, tiling, wood ceiling systems, terrazzo flooring, painting, signage, misc. specialties, specialized equipment, fire protection & fire suppression, plumbing, HVAC, medical equipment, detention equipment, food service equipment, prefabricated audiometric rooms, radiation protection, electric traction elevators, electrical, solar energy electrical power generation, communications and security.
S.J. Amoroso Construction Co., Inc. (Amoroso) may require subcontractors to provide 100% Payment & Performance Bonds, from a California admitted surety with an AM Best rating of A-VII or better, as a condition of contract. Amoroso is signatory to the Carpenter's Collective Bargaining Agreement. Amoroso strongly encourages the use of qualified M/W/D/O/S/DVBE subcontractors and vendors. Please include the use of qualified M/W/D/O/S/DVBE suppliers and lower tier subcontractors where applicable. It is the subcontractor's responsibility to review the Owner's General and Special Conditions for this project, as they will be binding. Subcontractors will also be required to execute Amoroso's standard Subcontract Agreement and comply with Amoroso’s standard insurance requirements, both without modification, should we both be awarded this project. Amoroso’s listing of a subcontractor is not to be construed as an acceptance of all of the sub's conditions or exceptions included with the price quote. Per California Labor Code 1771.1: A contractor or subcontractor shall not be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal, subject to the requirements of Section 4104 of the Public Contract Code, or engage in the performance of any contract for public work, as defined in this chapter, unless currently registered and qualified to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5. Subcontractor’s must provide their CA License & DIR Certification numbers with proposals.
A pre-bid was held at 500 W. Hospital Road, French Camp, CA 95231 on October 12, at 10:00 AM.
We are willing to break out certain portions of work into smaller increments in order to allow smaller companies a fair opportunity to bid this project and are prepared to assist subcontractors with bonding, credit, and insurance.
